Jazzy Gem Newsletter December 11, 2007

Wow can you actually believe that the end of the year is almost here!!?? We have had such a very full year once again.
So many changes, so many heartaches, so many challenges, so many inspirations, and successes! We never know what will come our way and what we will learn from it. This has been a very challenging year for me personally with all of the changes the company has bestowed upon us, my daughter moving across the country, travel which makes balancing family time challenging…not to mention health issues for our families and friends as well as our closest friends going through very ugly divorces. These are all things which make us who we are and how we relate to each other. It brings home to me how much I value my family and my friends. Without them I am nothing. I must say I am rich with love from my friends and my family. I feel full of learning because I seek it. I feel happiness and comfort because I am loved. I feel success because I share a bond with those who choose to grow and network with me. I have to tell you, the networking with my fellow consultants is what enables me to grow in this business!

Do You Want to Succeed??

Our monthly conference calls are such an awesome recruiting tool to share with your new recruit that she has an upline who is dedicated to helping her succeed in this business! Personally, I think our Leader calls are the most productive. It is during these calls where we all learn together how to be a more productive leader. We learn how to grow and help others succeed! The bonding is so beyond outstanding and I feel so sad for those who don’t take part in this opportunity. I also can hardly wait for others to become a Unit Manger so they can partake in this awesome experience as well! I challenge ALL of you to qualify to be invited to be a part of our leader calls! It is a privilege that every UM and above should be proud of and value!

Our SMT (Second Monday Training) is a time where we can invite friends and potential recruits to learn more about the Cookie Lee opportunity. It’s so fabulous to network amongst each other depending on the topic of the month, not to mention meeting new consultants and bonding with old friends.

I have decided with each blog I produce that I ask a consultant on my team to contribute something. This month’s blog I have asked Donna Madronal of NJ to share with us why she makes our conference calls a priority. She is a UM1 and ALMOST a UM2!!! Donna is VERY faithful at calling in to our monthly conference calls. Statistically it has been proven time and time again how successful consultants are the months they call in to our calls. As well as it being proven those who don’t call in have lower production that month.

Janet, had asked me to give her some input on what keeps me calling in on those Monday night conference calls. Here's my story...

As you know I own 2 businesses, my Jazzercise franchise (16 classes and 3 other instructors), and my Cookie Lee business. I get out of class on Mondays around 8:15pm and rush home to make sure I can get on the call. Why? Because no matter what the subject matter, I ALWAYS get something from the calls and from connecting with my fellow "Cookies". There's always a new idea or a suggestion on how to do something better, and you can't beat the networking and support you get from the group. Everyone is always so upbeat and encouraging and they've all been where you are so they can help you out. And when we get new consultants on the call is a great feeling to welcome them and help them get started. Plus for those of us here on the east coast, where CL is still building up, we especially need that connection to the rest of our Cookie sisters.

I joined 3 years ago and it was only after the recent convention (August 2007) that I REALLY got my rear in gear and began working the business. I was just sort of waiting for people to find me, and then wondering why I wasn't getting any bookings. Yes, the business is easy but you do have to do SOME work!

We're all busy with kids and families and work and other commitments, but if you want a big, successful team and to be able to earn that Mercedes or those big commission checks, ya gotta work it. And part of working it is training and networking.

P.S. The above was written a few weeks ago.. let me add something to that. I got a call yesterday (but I missed it.... went to my voicemail) from John Lin thanking me for all my hard work and encouraging me to keep up the good work. He said, "just follow all the great promos and programs we offer and you'll get where you want to go". I was so impressed by the fact that he took the time to personally call me, that I was smiling the rest of the day. It's that type of support that you get from CL that is totally invaluable.. and that support is from the top down... it's so impressive!

Those who were not at convention and were not a part of Janet’s Jazzy Gem awards don’t really know.

I awarded Alycia Segner, Christine Mickel, and Janie Gutierrez a beautiful Fossil watch with a Jazzy Gem charm for promoting to ED1!! WOO HOO!!! Such an AWESOME accomplishment!!!

I also awarded Michelle Stratton with an engraved Cookie Lee business card holder for being my 2nd generation ED1!! WOO HOO!!! AMAZING accomplishment!

I awarded Directors Cande Perales, Debbie Lesser, and Rhonda Chuyka with gifts for being FABULOUS Directors!!

I honored My OUTSTANDING Unit Managers, Anne Hutchinson, Donna Madronal, Liz AhPo, and Victoria Gutierrez!!

I also honored Dorothy Dietzsch and Carmen Held-Tauchar for attending convention and for being a part of our Jazzy Gem family!!

I was so taken aback when I was honored by my sponsor, my mentor, girlfriend, and colleague Erin Wilson with many awesome gifts. Erin also presented to me from she and my Jazzy Gems a “Heart to Heart” award. This means more than anything to me. If you don’t know, every year all Cookie Lee consultants vote on a consultant who has touched their life. A person who we feel has gone out of their way to help us grow and succeed and that person who always goes the extra mile. The company recognizes that consultant with an award titled, the “Heart to Heart” award. It is given during the awards ceremony at convention in August. My little group honored me in our suite with the “Jazzy Gem Heart to Heart” award and I will always keep it very close to my heart. Just knowing you feel this about me means so much, more than you will ever know!

JAZZY GEMS ROCK!

Man I can’t believe November is almost here! I must be getting real old because this year is really flying by so fast!! My husband and I had an AWESOME time in Maui!! The 4 days we were there was not nearly long enough, but I will NEVER turn away a day in paradise!! It was a very magical time being alone with my husband, a time to do whatever we wanted, and enjoy each other’s company. We were able to explore our favorite spots and make new memories with new spots.

My Ballerina girl Jennifer is plugging away in Florida at Epcot! Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. It isn’t easy since it takes her 2 hours each way to get to and from work. It’s a 45 minute walk to the bus stop where the bus takes her to the Magic Kingdom. She then hitches a ride on the monorail to Epcot. The way home is the same in reverse. She knows that dreams don’t always come easy, and she’s determined to reach them. Some day all of her hard work will pay off. She is looking forward to auditioning for a performing position, so please keep your fingers crossed for her! She has an awesome roommate which is such a Godsend!

My son is a senior at Western Washington University as a Philosophy major. He continues to write his own songs and perform at many clubs around town. He is living on his own in a studio apt. and is enjoying it. It’s understandable considering he shared a house with 5 girls last year! LOL

My youngest is 12 and is quite the middle schooler…with clothing design being her passion …her daily attire totally proves this. I should take a pic of her and send it to Cookie Lee since everyday she is decked out in Cookie Lee jewelry and looks as if she were a consultant! She wears it way better than her mom.

On to Cookie Lee Biz

I will be leaving for Colorado this Thursday and meeting up with Christine where she will be joining me in a booth at the Colorado Country Christmas Gift Show. I will return home on Monday the 5th.

I’m planning on making a showroom run on Monday October the 29th. If you need for me to pull an order for you let me know ASAP! Call me!!

Remember, if you signed up as a consultant before 2007 and you haven’t purchase a total of $300 this year, let me know. In order to remain as an active consultant you need to purchase a minimum of $300 in the year, if not you will be terminated from Cookie Lee as a Consultant. Beginning January 2008 the computer will be looking every month to see who hasn’t purchased $300 in the previous 12 months. The requirement beginning January 2008 will be that you purchase $300 within 12 rolling months.
